Returning to Biratnagar as universities shut across India, Aayush spent months observing, speaking to patients, and understanding the real friction points in Nepal’s healthcare system — not just the big, obvious problems, but the everyday ones. The lab report that nobody explained. The doctor appointment that required a full day’s travel. The health check-up that felt too expensive to bother with. These became the problems Cura Health was built to solve.
Under his leadership, Cura Health has grown from a single telemedicine product to a full healthcare platform — with physical labs, home services, specialist clinics, a membership programme, and a growing footprint across Nepal. Cura Health has been recognised at the World Summit Awards (WSA) in the Health & Wellbeing category and has been featured in The Kathmandu Post (opens in a new tab) and leading Nepali media as a defining example of Nepal’s emerging health-tech ecosystem.
His vision:
a Nepal where a patient in Itahari has the same quality of healthcare access as someone in Kathmandu. Where a lab report is not just delivered but understood. Where going to the doctor does not mean taking a day off work. He is building that Nepal, one service at a time.
